Satoshi Nakamoto's wallet
"Satoshi Nakamoto's wallet" is not one wallet. It is a set of about 22,000 early block rewards (≈ 1.1 million BTC) mined between January 2009 and May 2010, plus the symbolic Genesis address, 1A1zP1eP5QGefi2DMPTfTL5SLmv7DivfNa. None of the mined coins has ever been spent. Their value today is about $92.4 billion cached.
1What "Satoshi's wallet" actually refers to
In Bitcoin's first months there were very few miners. One entity — almost certainly Satoshi — mined a large share of blocks using a recognisable, customised version of the client. Each block paid a 50 BTC reward to a new public key generated by the wallet software. Collectively those rewards are what people mean by "Satoshi's wallet."
Most of these rewards were paid to pay-to-public-key (P2PK) outputs. A P2PK output locks coins directly to a public key rather than to a hashed address, so block explorers display a derived legacy address for convenience. That is why lists of "Satoshi wallet addresses" contain thousands of entries beginning with 1.

3How Satoshi's coins compare with total supply
4Why the wallet has never moved
Satoshi's last widely accepted communications date from late 2010 and April 2011. Since then, none of the attributed outputs has been spent. Blockchain monitoring services and researchers track every Patoshi output, so a single movement would be visible within minutes. Whether the keys still exist is unknown. See the timeline for the full chronology.
5Security: are the coins at risk?
Because P2PK outputs expose the public key on-chain, Satoshi's coins are often cited as the largest pool of bitcoin that a future cryptographically relevant quantum computer could target. Today's quantum hardware is far from that capability. Bitcoin developers have discussed proposals that would require vulnerable outputs to migrate to post-quantum signatures or else become unspendable — a debate that would directly affect Satoshi's estimated 1.1 million BTC.
6Questions
Does Satoshi Nakamoto have one wallet?
No. Satoshi's estimated 1.1 million BTC are spread across roughly 22,000 separate coinbase outputs — one per mined block, usually 50 BTC each. Early Bitcoin software generated a fresh key for every block reward, so there is no single "Satoshi wallet" balance to look up.
Can I see Satoshi's wallet balance?
You can see the balance of individual addresses and outputs. The Genesis address 1A1zP1eP5QGefi2DMPTfTL5SLmv7DivfNa is the most visible; its live balance is shown on this page. The Patoshi outputs can be inspected block by block on any block explorer.
Has Satoshi's wallet moved?
No coin reliably attributed to Satoshi has moved since early 2009, other than test transactions such as the 10 BTC sent to Hal Finney. Rumours of "Satoshi wallets waking up" usually refer to other 2009–2010 miners.
Who sends bitcoin to Satoshi's wallet?
Thousands of people have sent small amounts to the Genesis address as a tribute or as an on-chain message. Those coins are counted in the address balance but are separate from Satoshi's mined holdings.
